Meet the Owner

I thought i would take a minute to introduce myself!  My name is Jill, I am a wife, mom of four and love to have a project! Shopping, design and travel are a few of my favorite things.
What I have loved about owning Sugar Love is that it has allowed me to combine all of those things! Traveling to markets all over the country to find the newest brands and see what trends are coming never gets old!
I have always believed that fashion should be fun and your personal style should reflect your personality. Now that I am in my fifties, I want to still look stylish but I realize that I can't dress like my daughters who are in their twenties. I love to combine a trendy piece with some good classics. My go-to look for a night out is jeans, a blazer and heels.
My mission is to help women feel good about themselves. I always encourage people to try on one thing that is outside of their comfort zone! There is no greater joy for me than to see a woman come out of one of our fitting rooms with a smile on her face!
I am blessed to have my daughters work with me. My oldest daughter, Kate is our E-commerce manager, my daughter Emily is our social media manager and my daughter Grace helps in the warehouse. The older girls go to market with me to have an eye for what younger girls would like, while I am always shopping for women closer to my age. We love finding pieces that we can both wear but may just style differently!
Our store was honored to be voted Fort Wayne's Favorite Women's Boutique three years in a row and last year also added the honor of Fort Wayne's Favorite Women's store!
If you are ever in the Fort Wayne, IN area, please come and see us!
xo,
Jill

Jill, you and your Daughters have grown a beautiful gem in our town Fort Wayne. Your story is so inspiring and unique. I’m 6o and remember back when I was a little girl before the bigger stores came along , there were mostly smaller boutique type stores or dept. stores. I remember shopping with my Nana and Mom and them letting me test the perfumes on my wrist and behind my ear, or letting me pick out a piece of jewelry of my own. I felt so grown up. For Christmas Nana always bought my Mom ,little sister and I matching flannel nightgowns from Lanz of Salzburg in Palm Springs where we lived at the time. When I found your boutique a couple years back I fell in love with it. Immediately it took me back to my childhood, with your girls giving a personal touch and even a giftbag, which doesn’t happen much anymore. That year I brought my daughters in to pick out their Birthday gift before we went to lunch. I plan to do the same with them this year once again. Memories that are dear to my heart from my childhood I now share with my Daughters and little Granddaughters. Bless you and your little family and thank you for touching so many lives thru what you love doing.
